There’s a new musical bromance brewing. Recently, Drake was Instagrammed sporting a t-shirt referencing Skepta’s track ‘Lukey World’ and now the two have linked up on-stage to perform one of the grime artist’s biggest hits. Always the crowd-pleaser, Drake got into his tried-and-true “best (crowd) I ever had” monologue, before bringing out Skepta to get the London audience completely turned up.
The two have been exchanging virtual daps for a little while and a sonic collaboration is inevitable, in my opinion. Skepta is definitely on a steep rise, and with Drake’s album release imminent, it wouldn’t be a surprise if there was a Skep feature on there somewhere. We’ll be keeping our ears to ground. Or at least, our eyes on Champagne Papi’s socials.
